In late November, I witnessed a scene in the New York City subway that was both beautiful and terrible. I can’t forget it—and I shouldn’t. As we move into the holidays and huddle with people we love, I recognize that I am part of the human family with so much need. Our planet, too, is hurting. How will I make a difference?
